Today we celebrate the Global Recycling Day established in 2005 by UNESCO in order to promote the involvement of citizens and organisations to reuse and recycle waste efficiently and sustainably, thus ensuring its movement.
At present, the waste management, carried out by recycling facilities and landfills, as well as the citizen cooperation are essential elements for the proper development of a recycling system that seeks improved environment performance and a more effective use of resources.
However, companies and their employees, as the main drivers of the industry, must comply with recycling policies that ensure the optimal treatment of their waste. For this reason, at Cojali we classify all the waste we generate into different groups according their composition, and dispose of them in their corresponding containers and bins. This ensures that we recycle most of the waste we produce and, thus, promote the development of a circular economy that cares for and respects the environment.
