The solution enables the technician to interact with the diagnostics system using natural language and receive real-time information directly in their field of vision, without interrupting their work and whilst keeping their hands free.
Cojali, a leading provider of diagnostics solutions for commercial vehicles, has unveiled Jaltest AI: Next Wave Workshops, a new diagnostics ecosystem that integrates applied artificial intelligence, multilingual voice recognition, and augmented reality to transform the way technicians work in the workshop.
This solution marks a turning point for the sector. For the first time, the technician does not need to stop what they are doing to look up information: They can speak to the Jaltest Diagnostics system in a natural way, receive recommendations tailored to the vehicle and the work in progress, and view diagrams, instructions and diagnostics data directly in their field of vision via augmented reality glasses.
A shift in the workshop approach
Until now, the workshop workflow meant that the technician had to adapt to the tool: Walking over to the screen, looking up information in the technical documentation, and switching between the vehicle and the computer. Jaltest AI turns that dynamic around. The information is presented to the technician at exactly the right moment, without them having to interrupt their work.
Jaltest artificial intelligence analyses vehicle data, technical documentation and collected technical support knowledge in real time to provide context-specific support tailored to each intervention. The mechanic can request fault code analysis, guided diagnostics, component location, step-by-step procedures, or remote assistance from experts, all via voice commands and hands-free.
Augmented reality glasses enhance the experience by converting complex technical data — electrical diagrams, diagnostics readings, repair instructions — into clear visual cues, overlapped directly onto the vehicle in front of them.
A direct impact on the workshop efficiency and quality
The combination of these three technologies delivers tangible benefits for the workshop: Reduced diagnostics and repair times, a lower margin of error, a greater ability to tackle complex repairs, and immediate access to specialist technical knowledge regardless of prior experience, which flattens the learning curve.
Workshops that adopt Jaltest AI will have diagnostics and operational capabilities that will set them apart from those using conventional tools, both in terms of the speed at which issues are resolved and the quality of service they can offer their customers.
"With Jaltest AI, as well as adding new features to the diagnostics system, we are proposing a different way of working", says Venancio Alberca, president and CEO of Cojali: "The technician has the full intelligence of the system at their disposal exactly where and when they need it, establishing a new paradigm of efficiency in the commercial vehicle workshop".
World premiere at Automechanika Frankfurt 2026
