On 28 May, the Rafael del Pino Auditorium in Madrid will host the Future of Transport Forum, a key meeting for freight, passenger and urban transport professionals, organised by Cojali and its Jaltest Telematics division.
With the agenda already closed, the Forum is shaping up to be an essential space to reflect on the future of the sector, in a context of digital transformation, sustainability and electrification.
A forward-looking agenda
The event will begin at 6 pm with the reception of the attendees, followed by an institutional welcome by the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility. The first round table will start at 6:35 pm.
Round table: “New road transport paradigm: Innovation, digitalisation and sustainability”
Moderated by Pablo Guindo, director of Ruta del Transporte (Route of Transport) magazine, this round table will bring together representatives from the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO), ASTIC, Lextransport and Sesé Group. Together, they will analyse the challenges of road freight transport, addressing issues such as:
• The application of disruptive technologies in fleet management.
• The challenge of achieving operational excellence in logistics processes.
• Attracting and retaining talent in a changing industry.
• The monetisation of energy savings through the new Energy Saving Certificates (ESCs).
At 7:20 pm, it will be the turn of the second round table.
Round Table: “The great challenge of mobility: Electrification, efficiency and availability”
Moderated by Mayte Rodríguez, director of Carril Bus (Bus Lane) magazine, this session will feature experts from EMT Madrid, EMT Valencia, CONFEBUS, ALSA and Ruiz Group, who will share their vision of the future of urban and passenger transport. Among the topics to be discussed are:
• Electrification of transport and new operating, service and infrastructure models.
• Predictive maintenance as a key tool to improve efficiency.
• Intelligent mobility, automation and the move towards autonomous driving.
• The essential role of urban transport in the implementation of Low-Emission Zones (LEZ).
Innovation, networking and new opportunities
The day will conclude with the premiere presentation of the new Jaltest Telematics platform through an exclusive video, followed by a networking space with catering designed to promote the exchange of ideas and new opportunities of collaboration among attendees.
